Our Sub-Teams
Mechanical
Mechanics is the core aspect of robotics. All year round, students work together with mentors to design things such as drive trains, t-shirt cannons and competition robots. The overall goal is for students to develop a love for science, technology, engineering, and math. Read More
Website
Part of our main philosophy is that all things are student designed and built with mentors only assisting. Since students maintain this website and are constantly changing it, expect many areas to be a work in progress. The hope is that, in future years, more people will be available to contribute content. Read More
Programming
Programming is often overlooked in the engineering world as it hides beneath the surface. We always fully acknowledge and encourage our team members to learn code to better understand the functional capabilities of a robot, even if programming is not their thing. We plan to begin using C++. Read More
Marketing
Part of the main challenge occurs before the season begins. How do we afford what we want to do? That is where our sponsors come in. The team cannot happen without the gracious support given to us by companies and individuals in our area. As people reach out to us, we work on returning the favor to the community. Contact Us2015 FIRST World Championship
The 2015 robotics season was a rather great success for our team. We began the year only five strong, but continued to work hard to achieve a spot at the championships. At first, that seemed like a long shot given the few individuals available to work on the robot. However, through focusing the scope of the project, and by working as a team, we built a usable robot in three weeks, giving an additional three weeks to test before the Dallas regional. At that point, things worked in our favor. Our alliance did an amazing job of playing the objective intelligently, leaving us in the finalist position. Through an available opening, we were able to continue to the Championship in St. Louis, and compete in the carver division for Texas.

Our Mission
The mission of the Prince of Peace Christian School RoboPOP Robotics Team is to allow students and mentors to share and apply knowledge of engineering, business, and leadership skills through a fun, hands-on-experience. As a team, members work toward a common goal of designing, building, marketing, and operating a competitive robot in a business-like environment while supporting the ideals of FIRST.
